#QuarantineLife – Some Makeup Product Must-Haves

Quarantine Life Makeup Product Must Haves

Hello all!

I am back with another post on a new #QuarantineLife Series I have just started, and I am listing some Makeup Product Must-Haves to survive the lockdowns with some linked products, but feel free to suggest your favorite brands/products in the comments!

A nice moisturizer

Being inside all day can do a number on your skin. Depending on the humidity, temperature of your home, your skin can really be affected. My skin has wavered between oily and dry (it’s really weird!!). On days that my skin is really dry, or right after I get out of the shower, I apply a moisturizer/facial lotion to help hydrate my sensitive skin. I bought this Clinique Moisture Surge a few years ago and I am really happy with it – it is unscented and allergy tested. There are a lot of other moisturizers out there, what kind do you use? Let me know in the comments.

A Facial Mask

I managed to collect some sheet and liquid facial masks from Target, as every time I would go, I would say why not – most of them are relatively cheap, and some of the higher end products are also really great to treat yourself. So remove all your makeup, put on some Netflix, and put on a mask to help treat your skin. Depending on what you are looking for, there are a variety of facial masks, I personally like the cooling and calming ones, as well as the ones that help hydrate and rejuvenate the skin making it feel soft! What’s your favorite facial mask?

A Nude Liquid Lipstick

My favorite thing right now is a nice moisturizing liquid lipstick, especially darker berry or nude shades. My favorite ones are from Colourpop cosmetics, in particular the shades Dopey and Baracuda, but have also tried some Anastasia Beverly Hills nude and metallic shades I was sent to review. They add a touch of glam to an otherwise boring day at home, and also add some color for all the virtual video meetings we have! What’s your favorite shade or favorite brand of liquid lipstick (or regular lipstick?)

A Lovely Mascara for Va-va-Voom lashes

Yesterday I put on some liquid liner and some mascara for some virtual hang outs with friends and it made me feel like my normal self again. something about mascara just opens up my eyes and makes them pop. I have given my lashes about a month break since the work from home started, which was perfect timing because I was noticing my eyelashes were falling out from wearing mascara all the time. I have been loving the vegan KVD Go Big or Go Home Mascara, the wand is perfect and soooo much volume, but I noticed my eyes are a little sensitive to the formula. I might go back to trying my old favorite, L’Oreal Voluminous…. What are some of your favorite brands?

Makeup Remover Wipes

I buy in bulk some Target brand makeup remover cleansing wipes, which are the same as the Neutrogena ones but much cheaper. They’re gentle on the skin and remove all makeup, even waterproof makeup. They leave your skin feeling fresh too. Target has some good quality makeup wipes that are really comparable to the brand names. I prefer the wipes to the liquid in a bottle, as I try to make my night time routine as easy as possible.

What are some other quarantine must have makeup products in your beauty arsenal? Let me know in the comments below.
