#MoreThanEnough – Day 2 – #girlboss Hannah Rupp

Hello again! 🙂 Welcome to Day 2 of the #MoreThanEnough Campaign, and today I’m featuring Hannah Rupp, from The Outfit Repeater !

#1: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog

I’m a former homeschooler, current 20-something, thrift store legend, citizen of the internet, and am obsessed with the 1980s.

My blog is called The Outfit Repeater and it’s focused on thrifted, vintage & affordable fashion. I like to think of it as a space for inspiration and tips on how to repeat your closet, rewear a decade, and rework your secondhand finds.

#2: How long have you been blogging and what inspired you to get started?

The Outift Repeater was born in 2015 when I rebranded my old blog that I originally started in 2009. I wanted a place to share my quirky style & thrift store finds since I never really found that on other fashion blogs back in the day.

#3: Was there anything that ever held you back from blogging or made you apprehensive?

Yes, definitely! When I started in 2009, I was a size 20 and wondered how I would fit into the world of thin bloggers who had big budgets and could shop off the rack. Thankfully I found a wonderful community of plus-size bloggers who made me feel accepted and encouraged me to evolve!

The second time I felt that unease was when I rebranded and became The Outfit Repeater. I was worried maybe I was doing the wrong thing by starting over after 5 years. Turns out, it was the best thing ever! It’s never too late to make a fresh start!

#4: Do you blog full time or on the side? If on the side, what’s your profession?

It’s a little bit of both! It started as a hobby but my health has prevented me from getting a conventional job so it’s kind of morphed into my full-time gig.

#5: What’s your best general career advice?

Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!

#6: What do you think makes someone a #girlboss?

A #girlboss to me is someone who owns her power, works hard, and is a strong leader.

#7: What are you favorite ways to make yourself feel confident?

Taking the time to make myself look good so I feel good. My favorite self-care routines are face masks, painting my nails, and carefully selecting an outfit for the day that I can kick butt in!

#8: What advice would you give someone who is struggling to find their personal style?

Play! Play in your closet, play with clothes at the store, just have fun! You’ll never know what you like unless you’re willing to dive in head first and explore fashion.

#9: What is your go-to power outfit?

Anything brightly colored but comfortable. This usually looks like a patterned tunic, a pair of basic leggings, and lots of rad accessories.

#10: How do you feel women could do a better job supporting one another?

Be genuine and extend grace at all times. We’re all just trying to get through this thing called life so let’s make the most of it and help each other out with kindness!

#11: Do you ever experience social media envy? If so, how do you overcome it?

Occasionally I do but I don’t really spend a lot of time on social media to catch that feeling. When I do use it, I try to surround myself with positive influences and am very concious of the content that I absorb. I guess it also helps just cutting back on social media!

#12: What advice would you give to an aspiring blogger?

If you’re on the fence about blogging, the best time to start is yesterday. Begin where you are whether it’s perfect or not and learn along the way. Also, Google and Pinterest are your best friends!
